Leadership

Meet Karla & Robin Sanders

Buried Treasures Home is led by the husband and wife team of Robin and Karla Sanders, serving as Co-Executive Directors. The primary contact during weekdays is Karla as she manages residents’ daily activities and is very hands-on with their physical, emotional and spiritual needs, while Robin is integrally involved at all other times, providing leadership, direction, encouragement and a great Christian male role model for the ladies who come here. Karla and Robin make a wonderful team. Their love, compassion, spiritual depth and practical wisdom are so evident and effective. It’s easy to see how residents connect so well with them, trust them, and fall in love with them.

Robin and Karla have been married 44 years, have 3 adult children and 5 grandchildren. They have been actively involved members at Sardis Baptist Church for 24 years, and Robin recently served as their Chairman of Deacons. Over the years, they have taught and served in virtually all aspects of the church. They have big hearts for missions, having been on international mission trips and served in numerous local ministries.

They both teach/mentor in Celebrate Recovery in Brandon and in Crystal Springs. They love how leading at Celebrate Recovery allows them to help participants with all kinds of hurts, habits and hangups. Karla has been a volunteer at Buried Treasures Home for 12+ years prior to them taking over as Executive Directors, and has volunteered at Gallman jail for years, and for over 3 years at CMCF’s 1A program.

Karla and Robin say they love sharing the truth of the Lord and seeing lives changed, and they consider it a blessing to serve here. We count it a blessing to serve with them.
