Women Finding Faith and Freedom

Welcome to Buried Treasures Home for Women

Buried Treasures Home (BTH) is a Christ-centered residential recovery ministry providing a safe and realistic environment for a woman's Christian faith to grow and a place where she can learn to live a free and productive life. The focus is on TRANSITION from prison and addiction; TRANSFORMATION of mind, body and spirit; and TRUSTING self and others. BTH is located on 65 beautiful rural acres in central Mississippi. It is a non-profit Mississippi corporation with 501(c)(3) status with the IRS.
BTH sponsors two off-campus events every year. One is called "Dress-A-Child" for the children of those incarcerated in Mississippi. Information is given every year to MDOC and Hinds County inmates who provide us the names of their children. Those children and caregivers are invited in late July to a local store to meet a host family who helps the children pick out clothes for the coming school year. Hundreds of children are helped each year.
The other off-campus event is the Buried Treasures Christmas party held in December for the children of those incarcerated. Many children and caregivers enjoy a huge party at First Baptist Church, Jackson, Mississippi. The Nativity story is told and gifts are provided for the children. Many volunteers "adopt" these children, buying gifts and helping with the party.
BTH is led by Clark and Valerie Rumfelt, North American Mission Board (Southern Baptist) missionaries who live onsite. Come explore with us . . . . (click NEXT)
